R/S is Peter Rehberg, founder of the Editions Mego label, and Marcus Schmickler, mastermind behind the Pluramon project. They have a new LP out on PAN which documents several improvised live outings from 2009. These sounds could be classified under harsh noise, but I don’t want to sound like a little prick by making that claim outright, so I’ll just say that the level of interplay and variation here is far beyond what most noise-makers get away with these days.
