♫♪  Angelo Spencer et les Hauts Sommets - “Solid Home Life”

Have you ever felt like you’ve been dragged around unconsciously? Where the movement of your own feet just kind of takes a will of its own, not giving you any clue of where it’s going, even if you have idea of where you need to be? This happens more often than you think. It’s not necessarily bad, mind you, and sometimes it can lead to fun adventures. But then there are those instances where you fall asleep, everything’s fine, everything’s good. Then the next day you wake up and you’re on fire. It’s often important to pay attention where you’re going, but more importantly that you never get into any trances or malaises, for there’s a high risk of you ending up being thrown out a window without being entirely sure why.

This especially goes with modern middle class life, for death by defenestration is becoming increasingly common. It is therefore in your best interest to live in a house that is only one floor. Also, try to cut back on the dancing, even if it is one way to cope with the stress of whittling out a middling existence that has little meaning. Otherwise, you’ll end up in some violent farce.

Consider the example demonstrated by Angelo Spencer above in his video, “Solid Home Life,” from his new record avec ses Hauts Sommets, Love In the Morning., available from K Records. Here is a man just going where life takes and going happy-go-lucky about it, yet it ends up in a dark place filled with hipster gangs that lick Kool-Aid and snort Peptol Bismol. All because he didn’t pay attention to his surroundings. Do you want that to happen to you? Yes? Really? Um, okay. Just remember that you’ll prolly end up twitching somewhere in a ditch. And you’ll probably be full of owls.
