♫♪  Heart Eyes - I Was a Swarm of Bees

Static crackles at a distance, distant melody plays softly from another room. Familiar, yet forgotten, home is not so easily defined. Dark roadways sit silent, traffic lights changing for empty intersections. Raindrops fall, then hiss on still hot sidewalks, stagnant air finally stirred by August winds. Darkened storefronts reflect neon signs, unfamiliar places, a marker of all that has changed.

Home is not always what you make it, or where. Tracing the same paths endlessly, worn into routine, yet somehow still foreign. Will you be remembered by those paths when you leave them? Differences define the landscape, blur memories into the haze of a fever dream, ephemera of existence.

Change springs eternal, the only tangible certainty. Winter sunrises soon give way to high suns of summer. Break from your well worn path in desert clay; forget the place that long ago forgot you. Moving forward is sometimes the only path back. Static crackles at a distance, distant melody plays softly from another room. Familiar, yet forgotten, home is not so easily defined.
