♫♪  Qluster - “Xymelan”

Attention, analog ambient heads out there! Just when everyone seems to be ditching their guitars and bands in favor of a “solo ambient/chill out project,” the legendary German group Qluster is back to show us how it’s done. The trio of Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Onnen Bock and Armin Metz, with Roedelius being the sole remaining original member (when it was founded as Cluster/Kluster), are back with Elemente, a collection of propulsive, lush compositions ripe for deep zoning. The video for “Xymelan,” streaming below, is a personalized laser light show created by band members Armin Metz and Onnen Bock. The duo get the visual vibe just right, as I find myself deeply immersed and hypnotized upon my 1,000th viewing. Elemente is out now via Bureau B, and available to order in LP and CD editions.
