♫♪  Pitbull feat. Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte - “We Are One (Ole Ola)” [The Official 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Song]

Other than the World Cup being a repeat-faux WWIII — watching the battlefield, the politics, and big businesses all collide — Pitbull was hired with J Lo and Claudia Leitte by someone to sing “We Are One (Ole Ola)” [The Official 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Song]. Why did nobody tell me Claudia Leitte was the Celine Dion of Brazil, WTF? Pitbull did it right too, btw: went bald, shaved the rest, thickened his accent when singing, raps words together from his bastard son’s rhyme book he stole last he saw the boy sleeping (when Pitbull ONLY visits his abandoned/fatherless son)…. and became famous. J Lo is great, but 11 years older than everyone in this video, and much more appropriate in performance; I smell defeat on the rise, though and I’m all “:,( J Lo, gurl. You made it this far, but…”

Aside from all that “We Are One (Ole Ola)” [The Official 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Song] nonsense, listening to the FIFA World Cup™ has been a nice experience: it makes me feel more apart of a community in New York than I have ever before. And by that, I mean I caught myself talking alone in my car to and about nothing while listening to yesterday’s. I have noticed the American announcers pointing out individuals (celebrity; success) than foreign announcers talking about the TEAMS (community; cooperation). Also, other stuff. Got a coworker who’s all jacked about it. I’ve been blazing dozens of World Cup joints too.

But I still don’t understand the idea of rooting for one team. The only thing I have faith enough in is hating Pitbull’s flaccid swag so much I could probably hunt him down and make him pay for every word of “We Are One (Ole Ola)” [The Official 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Song] …that’s if I hear it 100 more times this summer, then I’ll do JUST that. Hope everyone is enjoy the games. Who likes that new soccer ball? OO, SPORTS!!
