I dunno. I’m always feeling and then instantly NOT feeling Shlohmo. Sorta landing along the same lines as Teengirl Fantasy or Ratatat or something just slightly outdated. Like, this video for “Buried” I’m down with, but not because the content is “dark” — as it’s actually WAY far from dark than it is realistic. Mostly into the perceptual mindset of this women’s reality giving birth alone in the back of a car. Sorta like “If a tree falls in the woods…” like sorta, “If a pregnant woman gives birth and dies in the back of a car, does she see a flashing light?” And the “score” to this mini film, —er, shit wait, right right it’s a music video for Shlohmo’s newest track “Buried,” from the album Dark Red, out April 7, 2015 on True Panther. Also, nobody gets “Buried” in the video.
