Smirking with that cynical hipster satisfaction as critics trivialize the Postal Services' socio-economical relevance. You know better. Smug ass bitch-fuck. Well, push those hipster glasses up the bridge of your nose and chuckle ironically as I tear down you and your entire life, you Fuck. Your world is meaningless, you see, because for the past seven years, you have been living without Sundafyllir Mostrarskegg la Resistance.
Hearing the first notes of the Norwegian 10-piece's 18th album is somewhat of a revelation. Because it is not notes they are playing. It is more equatable to pottery or ceramics, in that they are shaping the tears of God. Truly, such glacial landscapes could only be melded in the bosom of Norway, where these archiactic Narcs have spent the past 10 years honing their face splattering brand of post-composition. You see, the members of SMLR utilize their secondary occupation (mining) to randomly calculate intervollic relationships, like WHAT!?? In essence, their approach represents the first truly groundbreaking musical technique of the 20th century, refining and surpassing early forms of serialisticism. All you can do is marvel at the second coming, then cum yourself. The saviors had arrived, and by the time I got to the 4th disc, so had I. Tears slowly emerged. "This is the yolk of life." I uttered in a desperate done, clinging on to my sanity as my body subtly spasmed with escxstacy. "I dont wanna wait for my life to be over. Where have all the Cowboys gone." OH SHIT! The album was over. I scrambled to fetch the CDs clear, crystalline encasment. It's tomb was layed bare. I opened it, to reveal nothing. My CD player was empty. I had been listening to silence. Suffice it to say, friend, that you MUST experience The Resist for yourself. I haven't even completed the album, and it has already changed my life immeasurably. You will never be the same.
