Alicia Keys announces new album Here, shares new track feat. A$AP Rocky, frees record numbers of minds/asses

Happy almost-Halloween-practically-Thanksgiving-might-as-well-be-Christmas, R&B lovers! According to HotNewHipHop, soulful songstress Alicia “I Play Piano” Keys took to her Twitter account late last week to announce that her sixth album (and first new one since 2012’s Hunger Games-themed concept album Girl On Fire) will be called HERE, and it’s due November 4 on RCA.

The complete tracklisting still seems to be TBD at the moment, but Keys did also reveal the album’s cover art, which is a straight-up candid mugshot of her completely un-glamorized face (i.e., no make-up and natural curls galore). “This album is so much about life, New York City, us as people, all the stories I saw growing up,” Keys said in an interview recently. “It sounds like the New York that I know. It’s aggressive, it’s raw, it’s me being my most truthful…It is such powerful music. You are going to go crazy.”

So… yeah, you’re ready to go crazy, right? Good. Here’s the first single, “Blended Family (What You Do for Love),” featuring A$AP Rocky. You can stream it below, go crazy, and then pre-order 18,000 copies of the album like all-day from iTunes and everywhere else. Like a crazy person.
