Reissued singles from Arthur Russell and Steve D’Acquisto’s Loose Joints will make (most of) your dreams come true

Break out the mirror balls and quaaludes, because all your wildest disco dreams are coming true! Well, if your dreams involve Arthur Russell, and not, say, a giant tub of vanilla ice cream, a handful of rhinestones, and Bianca Jagger, that is. For you see, according to Resident Advisor, West End Records is reissuing a pair of singles by Loose Joints, the duo comprised of New York DJ Steve D’Acquisto and cellist/singer Arthur Russell.

On June 23, the 12-inch reissues of the classic “Is It All Over My Face” and the lesser-known “Tell You (Today)” will be available for your spinning pleasure. “Is It All Over My Face” features both the male and female vocal versions, the latter of which was a hugely influential part of the Paradise Garage scene. Both 12-inches are remastered from the original tapes and are about as sassy as a piece of black plastic can get.

Is It All Over My Face tracklisting:

A. Is It All Over My Face (Female Version)
B. Is It All Over My Face (Male Version)

Tell You (Today) tracklisting:

A1. Tell You (Today) (Original 12-Inch Vocal)
A2. Tell You (Today) (Original New Shoes Edit)
B1. Tell You (Today) (Original 12-Inch Instrumental)
