Benjamin John Power’s music, both in Fuck Buttons and under his solo moniker Blanck Mass, has always had a penchant for density and intensity, carving out gripping slabs of noise for us to feast upon.

Given the shit bag that 2016 was, Power’s latest solo offering as Blanck Mass, called World Eater, promises to be a reflection on what went down, acting as both catharsis and a call to arms. Power explains the title as a reference to a beast that was awoken in 2016, “both the inner beast inside human beings that when grouped en-masse stops us from moving forward towards good.”

World Eater is out March 3 via Sacred Bones, and the lead single “Please” is available to stream right here, right now. Pre-order it here, and feast upon the beast of a track, which is over seven minutes of slow-building layers of sonic teeth grinding.

World Eater tracklist:

01. John Doe’s Carnival of Error
02. Rhesus Negative
03. Please
04. The Rat
05. Silent Treatment
06. Minnesota / Eas Fors / Naked
07. Hive Mind
