Cass McCombs announces new album Wit's End for release in April; reaches his own wit's end because nobody knows who he is

It’s tough to be on the verge of releasing your fifth album and still have people shrug when they hear your name. Cass McCombs isn’t going to allow his lack of fame get to him, going so far as to title his new album Wit’s End, a tongue-in-cheek play on the fact that he’s losing his mind because nobody, not even his own fans, have any idea who he is. Wit’s End is due out via Domino Records on April 12, and is his first release since 2009’s least-known album Catacombs (TMT Review). McCombs will show his unrecognizable face at SXSW this year, as well as on a US summer tour.

Wit’s End tracklisting:

01. County Line
02 The Lonely Doll
03. Buried Alive
04. Saturday Song
05. Memory’s Stain
06. Hermit’s Cave
07. Pleasant Shadow Song
08. A Knock Upon the Door
