Reader, do you give a fuck? DJ Rashad definitely doesn’t, Chance the Rapper might give a smidge of one, and to be totally honest, I give several fucks. Several! But what about you, reader? I get the feeling you’re one of those “too cool for school” types. If that’s the case, I’ve got a news post in me that just might change your tune. You can do whatever you want, obviously, but know that I’m picturing you sitting there wearing dark sunglasses, with a jean jacket draped over your shoulders, arms folded.
Chance the Rapper (giver of a smidge of fucks) and DJ Rashad (he who has no fucks to give) are going to be touring together this fall, right after Chance gets back from his international jaunt with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Starting in late October, Chance and Rashad will join DJ Spinn to take their acid rappin’ footworkin’ show on the road throughout the US. Chance is touring in support of his Acid Rap mixtape, which came out earlier this year, and Rashad will be supporting his Double Cup full-length for Hyperdub, which is out October 22.
And! If the tour announcement isn’t enough for you, then slide your super sweet and face-shape-flattering sunglasses down the bridge of your nose and say, “Hot damn, that’s worth at least a half a fuck!” then check this out: Chance the Rapper recently collaborated with James Blake on a remix of “Life Round Here” from Blake’s Overgrown (TMT Review). Like many songs, it consists of a bunch of different notes, some rhythms, and people singing. There’s even some rapping on this particular song. I’ll bet that if you’re willing to unfold your jean-jacketed arms and take off your dark shades, you just might end up giving a fuck about it.
