The inimitable Screaming Eagle of Soul, Mr. Charles Bradley, is back in the US after a lengthy stint in Europe. To celebrate, he’s released the very fitting Andrew Swartz-directed “Good to Be Back Home” video, filmed in his Bed-Stuy neighborhood and featuring a cameo appearance from his beloved parrot Nickie. The video also features live footage from Bradley’s performances at L.A.’s The Theatre at the Ace Hotel, San Diego’s The Observatory, Bonnaroo, and the always amazing Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA.
Bradley and His Extraordinaires won’t be back home for long, though. (Sorry, Nickie.) He’s embarking on yet another massive, worldwide tour starting August 12 in Kingston, NY, traversing much of the US and Canada before returning to the good people of Europe once more.
Bradley’s third album, Changes, was released earlier this year on Daptone Records imprint Dunham Records.
