Circuit des Yeux reaches for the super-stardom at the end of the rainbow with US West Coast and European dates

Fame has come upon Haley Fohr with all the subtle breakneck speed of a category 5 hurricane. And for good reason. Her breakthrough Circuit des Yeux album, Reaching for Indigo (Drag City), was perched atop many 2017 year-end “best of” lists, and her live shows have quickly become “must sees.” A lot more people can (and must!) see this accomplished dream weaver over the next two months, as she has booked a bunch of West Coast US tour dates and a smattering of European live shows.

Circuit des Yeux will play LA on January 19 before casting her spell over other CA, WA, OR, ID, UT, CO and AZ destinations throughout the month. Then in February, she’ll head oversees to wow EU audiences. Fohr has a voice that is near-peerless and possesses a seemingly inexhaustible supply of musical ideas, so no matter where on the globe you find yourself, consider any date she plays to be more worthwhile than whatever piddly crap you had planned for that night.

CdY will also be playing the Marfa Myths fest in Marfa, Texas in April. With a line-up that includes Suzanne Ciani, Tom Zé, Wire, Jessica Pratt, Ryley Walker, The Weather Station and recording residency collaborations between Cate Le Bon and Bradford Cox (Deerhunter, Atlas Sound), and Connan and his father Ade Mockasin…let’s just say attending this festival will have you reaching not only for “indigo,” but also for some fluffy white tissues to dry your joyful, tear-filled eyes.
