Golly, it must have been, I don’t know, months ago that we last got together to talk about “Exit Only,” that most recent single from the upcoming Deerhoof release on Polyvinyl La Isla Bonita, right? What?! It wasn’t even a month ago? And there’s already a new Deerhoof single to fawn over called “Paradise Girls?” Well boy howdy, time sure does fly when you’re listening to the single best band that ever made you feel sorta guilty for not practicing your instrument more (which is how I refer to Deerhoof in my head sometimes), doesn’t it?
Anyhow, all that stuff Chris Kokiousis told you back in August is still true. La Isla Bonita is still out November 4 and you can still pre-order it via Polyvinyl. What’s changed, beyond that new single you already know about if you read the first paragraph, is pretty simple: Deerhoof have just announced a tour. And, look, it’s not just any tour, it’s a Deerhoof tour. And honestly, it’s not even just a Deerhoof tour, because, as you’ll learn in all the sexy detail you could desire below, Deerhoof are also planning to head out with a whole bunch of certified-cool tour pals like Tim Barnes, Xenia Rubinos, Lightning Bolt, and Busdriver.
