The Doors documentary to surface in April, high school kids who really "get it" swoon in anticipation

Ah, just what we need… another classic rock doc. I guess this is what happens when Cocksucker Blues grows another layer of dust on it or something… or people get tired of digging up Rapidshare links to it.

In any case, the first feature-length Doors documentary is on the horizon, offering an insider’s look at the short years between The Doors’ formation and Jim Morrison’s demise. The documentary, titled When You’re Strange and written and directed by Tom DiCillo, will see its theatrical release on April 9 and has already screened at Sundance, Berlin, Deauville, and San Sebastian film festivals. But wait! There’s more! When You’re Strange has an accompanying soundtrack to be released on March 30, and will include 13 songs from the Doors’ six albums, in addition to vintage recordings from The Ed Sullivan Show.

Well, I’d better go and find my best Morrison t-shirt. I think I left it somewhere in my sophomore year of high school’s dresser drawer… hmmm.
