Check out the new EP from Greek techno-jazz duo Glacial, Entropy

Giorgios Lemos, the Greek producer known as Lemos, and Ilan Manouach, a Belgium-born, Athens-based experimental saxophonist, are together known by the title of Glacial. In the year 2012, they released a phenomenal but thoroughly under appreciated self-titled album through the French label Welcome to Masomenos. It finds Lemos chopping and smearing appropriately icy jazz rhythms under and around Manouach’s smoky, groove-conscious sax lines. Both continued to work independently, but Glacial has been on hiatus. Some of us thought they vanished completely, a grim metaphor for the impending state of our planet’s polar ice caps — *I’m your environmental supportman.*

Oh but such hope descends in rays from above! There is a new Glacial EP! And how undeniably positive that it is called Entropy, which refers to a thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system’s thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work. This thus therefore entails then that all the glaciers don’t have any thermal energy anymore, which means they’re gonna be extra cold. *I’m an environmental scientist.*

And only because I exist only to inform will I inform you that the EP comes to us courtesy of Greek label Six D.o.g.s, and that it was just released on February 23. You can grab it here, so run and get it with your bare feet, boys. And cool down with some clips from Entropy right down below (zero, right?!).
