Grizzly Bear and Yeah Yeah Yeahs curate ATP's latest "I'll Be Your Mirror" festival

The high priestesses of fun and mighty shindig wizards over at All Tomorrow’s Parties have announced that both the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Grizzly Bear will be curating their latest I’ll Be Your Mirror festival in London this spring. Named after the B-side to The Velvet Underground’s “All Tomorrow’s Parties” 7-inch, the I’ll Be Your Mirror mini fests take over major cities with musician-curated two-day events comprised of film, art, and concerts. Yeah Yeah Yeahs, whose upcoming Mosquito album is due April 15, will headline and curate the May 4 date, and Grizzly Bear, hot off the success of this past fall’s Shields album, will headline/curate May 5.

Over the course of two magical days at London’s Alexandra Palace, ATP promises fancy food, local ales, a rose garden (whaaaaat), moving pictures, ubiquitous DJs (like there wouldn’t be DJs), spoken word and… MAGICIANS. Yes, magicians. Really and truly. THEY COULD TURN YOU INTO AN OWL!!! So far, Yeah Yeah Yeahs are bringing you The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Field, Dirty Beaches, Black Lips, Anika, King Khan and the Shrines, and The Bad Seeds’ Mick Harvey doing Serge Gainsbourg covers. On May 5, Grizzly Bear present Van Dyke Parks, Tortoise, The Walkmen, Real Estate, I Break Horses, and Cass McCombs. Tickets go on sale online on Thursday.
