ASHEVILLE, ever heard of it? It’s not that famous. You may have vacationed there once. It’s snugly nestled in the mountains of Western, NC and can be described as a tourist “hot-spot” full of cheer, beer, pub cycles, and the most BEAUTIFUL scenery. And lots of hotels.

BUT WAIT — there is also…a music scene. It is small; but it is alive, and it is there. And guess what? If you’re gonna be in ASHEVILLE at the end of August, you might be able to experience it. Neat, huh?

Let me explain: Harvest Records, ever heard of it? You may have shopped there once. It’s a beloved little store nestled snugly in Asheville, and they play a not–so–small role in nurturing the music community there. As of this summer it’s been around for FIFTEEN years! And what better way to celebrate FIFTEEN years than with some, um, music??? I’m talking CONCERTS, people. That you — yes YOU — can attend!

That’s right! August 22-24 marks the THIRD iteration of Transfigurations, a once-every-five-years celebration of Harvest’s founding. They’ll be putting on shows at various cornerstone venues in Asheville (The Orange Peel, The Mothlight, Black Mountain College Museum, et. al.), bringing out artists who probably would not come here otherwise (Kevin Morby, Waxahatchee, The Field, the list goes on). You might even spot Danny Brown on a pub cycle downtown!!! Wow!!!

Peep the full line up, schedule, & other info here. Unfortunately weekend passes are all sold out, BUT individual tickets are still very available.

So, to sum up: ASHEVILLE! HARVEST RECORDS!! Ever heard of them? Now you have!!!!
