Recently, a friend told me that he didn’t understand what love meant until the encore of a James Blake show. I believe him.
In 2011, we fell in love with James Blake’s self-titled debut. We ranked it at #2 on our Favorite Albums of 2011. And now, word is out that James Blake will release his second album, Overgrown, on April 8 via Republic.
Blake has performed a few new songs in recent shows, and later today(!!!), “Retrograde,” the first single off of Overgrown, will premiere on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show.
