Of all the rap tropes Peggy “JPEGMAFIA” Peggyson has devicefully inverted over the years, egoism has paid off maybe the most. After all, who doesn’t want to enlist a bunch of famous dudes to talk trash about your album like it’s the worst thing they’ve ever heard? Wait, is this a DIY band dominatrix thing? That’s actually a cool idea.

“The fake Death Grips shit was working but now what-what are we on, what, what is????” -Kenny Beats

All My Heroes Are Cornballs, Peggy’s new album that’s marketed as a “DISAPPOINTMENT,” comes out on September 13. The album trailer, which you can watch below, features a whole-ass crew of kinda-famous-to-pretty-famous folks talking about how bad it is. The video includes James Blake, DJ Dahi,Flume, Channel Tres, Buzzy Lee, Jeff Tweedy, Injury Reserve, Jeff Ellis, and Kenny Beats. Maybe some of them guest on the album? Who knows.

“Everybody think they can make music and shit. … Why y’all call me over here?” -Channel Tres

If you understand irony at the rate that an Instagram meme account understands when to stop posting about ketamine, then it’s worth noting that this so-called garbage album will include the mindbending “Jesus Forgive Me, I Am A Thot,” released in August. It’s all just fun, consensual ribbing my dude. Don’t you even sweat it!

Catch Peggy on tour before the album drops at one of the dates below, and watch Kenny Beats’ full reaction video after the trailer:
