Lil Yachty goes to prom in "Bring It Back" video, announces the "Teenage Tour"
Don't know about you, but it'd really upend my expectations if this "nerd" ends up being the coolest kid at the dance!

Lil Yachty is keeping the hype train rolling boat sailing for his previously-announced debut album Teenage Emotions. Having already worn a white tuxedo and top hat combo to the museum AND gotten yelled at by that one guy with that one song that plays over the end credits of 2 Fast 2 Furious so far this week alone — the ostentatiously teen-aged rapper has now shared a music video for his latest track.

“Bring It Back” finds Lil Yachty donning another tuxedo (green this time!) as he takes over the one place where every teenager can wear a flashy tuxedo and not feel self-conscious about it: Prom. From dancing on the dessert table, to playing a saxophone solo while also being every other member of the band, to stealing the prom queen’s heart and driving off in a DeLorean, the whole video feels like a delightfully John Hughes-esque version of the 80s. (If it could have been guaranteed that my own prom was going to be like this, I probably would have actually gone.)

In addition to the new jam, Lil Yachty has also announced the “Teenage Tour,” a jaunt during which Yachty will apparently turn 20, presumably forcing him to change the name of the tour to something less hypocritical. (Free idea: the “TwenTeenage Tour.” Boom.) That tour kicks off on August 11 in Dallas and runs all the way to October 20 in Vancouver.

Watch the video for “Bring It Back” and check out all the dates for the “Teenage Tour” down below. And in case you forgot somehow, Teenage Emotions is still coming out May 25 via Quality Control/Motown/Capitol and will probably make that one friend of yours who hates Lil Yachty’s music really angry. (We’ve all got one. Hi Alex!)
