Brooklyn’s Little Women may have a name fit for a feminine indie pop band, but give one listen and you’ll find it’s quite the opposite: Little Women bring the pain with a “brutally precise sonic assault and ascendant melodies, attacking written and improvised material with equal ferocity.” They launched themselves on the world two years ago with their debut EP, Teeth, put out jointly by Sockets and Gilgongo Records. Now, AUM Fidelity is ready to reveal their debut full-length, Throat, which was recorded/mixed by Andy Taub (Brooklyn Recording) with artwork by guitar maestro Mick Barr (a.k.a. Orthrelm and Ocrilim).
Throat will hit stores on April 13, just after they finish up their US tour and before they head out for a European stint. So, check out the awesome, evocative tracklisting and select US and EU dates below. Who wants to be that their next album will be called Tongue?
