Los Campesinos! Announce New Album; That Sensation You’re Experiencing Right Now Is Called “Déjà  vu”

Remember back in April when peppy Welsh septet, Los Campesinos!, released their debut album, Hold On Now, Youngster? Well, they’re about to do it all again. Apparently one album in 2008 wasn’t enough, because the band has just announced the release of their sophomore follow-up. Already?! Jeez, you guys can take a year or two to chill in-between albums like most bands do, you know.

Nevertheless, Los Campesinos! are, uh, back with their second album, entitled We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed. The album is due out on Arts&Crafts November 11 in North America and was produced by John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Blonde Redhead, Bikini Kill). I know what you’re thinking: after touring for most of the year, how the hell did Los Campesinos! even have time to write and record 10 songs? Well, the band would like to assure you that there are no B-sides on the album or “songs that weren’t good enough to be on the album cobbled together with some remixes and field recordings.” Instead, the album consists of brand new, never-before-heard tracks. Check out the tracklisting for proof.
