N.A.A.F.I to continue fruitful reign with new EP from Uruguayan DJ Lechuga Zafiro

As Rafael Lubner so acutely commented last year, the new club music thrives off the collective. In 2018, “the new club” has continued to grow, and so has our collective liberatory reliance on the collective. Club or otherwise.

So it follows that the Mexican-megamind-mixer-mainframe collective NAAFI is thriving generously. This August 16, they’ll share the fruits of that abundance with a new record from Uruguayan DJ and club-collagist Lechuga Zafiro.

Testigo (English: witness) follows a busy few years of DJ life by Zafiro, contributing to a huge array of compilations and mixes, including Club Chai Vol. 1 and NON VS. NAAFI. His last EP, Aequs Nyama, came out in 2015.

To whet your appetite, check out a sample from that last EP down below. And keep your eyes peeled for a video from THIS 5-track EP. I’m told things stay pretty busy over at those “DJ collectives” or whatever the kids call them these days. There’s lots of bad news out there, but in the world of international club collectives, the good news is aplenty.
