I reckon Auckland, New Zealand’s catchiest indie/pop/punk-band The Beths have been busier than a one-armed paper hanger recently trying to keep up with the whizzing miscellany of musical exploits and fortuitous career-related events that have befallen them over these past several weeks.

For starters, Washington DC’s Carpark Records announced they had beaten off stiff competition from Columbia, RCA, and Sony Music to sign the band to a MONSTER, LeBron James-style, multi-year deal that will guarantee the release of no less than a dozen full-length albums over the next quarter century.

Next, (well, ok let’s back up…I guess I should clarify for statutory purposes that that part about RCA, Columbia, Sony, and a dozen records over 25 years is complete and utter bullshit)…

Anyway: NEXT, Carpark announced that the band’s debut album Warm Blood — which has been cited as “the catchiest record you’ve (n)ever heard” — had been re-released on cassette (and digital), and is currently available for download and/or purchase.

And, FINALLY, just the other day, the band announced plans to leave the proverbial carpark and take over the indie pop world on monstrous (actually, I should clarify for statutory purposes that it’s pretty standard-length, I guess) European and North American tour this May and June — in supposed celebration of their new deal with, ehm, Carpark.

So, yeah: how’s that for a wild friggin’ couple-a weeks for the Kiwi-based band? Pretty crazy, right?

You can order and/or stream Warm Blood right over here, and be sure to check out the complete list of tour dates and venue locations right down below. It’ll be the band’s very first Western Hemisphere voyage, so if you make it out to a show, be sure to show them some of that good lovin’ that we here on the left side of the prime meridian are known for (I should clarify for statutory purposes that that makes no sense whatsever, but let’s just go with it…)
