Oneohtrix Point Never to release Commissions II on Record Store Day

It is now time for news about Oneohtrix Point Never, a.k.a. Daniel Lopatin.

The news is that he’s announced a new 12-inch for Record Store Day.

The 12-inch is called Commissions II. Commissions II is the follow-up to Commissions I. Commissions II features a new selection of commissioned works, including music inspired by the video game soundtracks of Japanese artist Manabu Namiki (“Bullet Hell Abstraction”). Commissions II also includes music from his “re-imagined soundtrack” to Koji Morimoto’s anime film, Magnetic Rose (“Suite From Magnetic Rose”).

BONUS NEWS: Commissions II was engineered by Paul Corley. Commissions II was mastered by Bedroom Community’s Valgeir Sigurðsson. Commissions II is over 30 minutes long. Commissions II features cover art with help from Robert Beatty (<3). Commissions II comes in a black foil print jacket.

Commissions II will be out Saturday, April 18.
