It’s springtime, which means kids (and kids at heart!) across the globe are starting to take out their hula-hoops, beach balls, unicycles, and other spherical/cyclical-themed playtime paraphernalia in preparation for summer. I don’t know about you, but this time of year always makes me think of spherical/cyclical-themed electronic duo Orbital! You might laugh, but they’re obviously very aware of this extremely rational connection, because they’ve just announced their first new album in six years, Monsters Exist, which is out through ACP on September 14. What a startling revelation for this lovely spring season!

Of course, this isn’t Orbital’s first figurative rodeo experience; they know no one’s gonna wait ‘til autumn to start dancing! Therefore, being the seasoned (but young at heart!) dance music vets they are, they’ve provided the album’s first single, “Tiny Foldable Cities,” which you can listen to (in video form) below as you longboard to the local watering hole!

Naturally, they didn’t forget the other conventional album-announcement accoutrements, either: find the full tracklisting and album art below, and pre-order at any and all of your favorite outlets here. This is already turning out to be a great album cycle, but of course if anyone knows cycles, it’s the spherical/cyclical-themed electronic duo Orbital!
