Death! Death!! Death!!!!! Oh, hello. As you may have gathered, there is some news about Brooklyn noisemakers A Place to Bury Strangers. Back in, I believe it was 2006, all music writers (past, present, and future) signed a contract to begin all A Place to Bury Strangers-related stories with a triple cry of death. Some of us are slacking off, but that’s not how we do things here. We do things right here.
Why the death cries today? Well, it’s because A Place to Bury Strangers have announced that their new album, Worship, is coming out June 26 through Dead Oceans. Those in Europe will be getting the album a bit earlier than us in the states, as the record comes out June 11 in Europe and the UK. Don’t worry, Dead Oceans will be handling the release in those areas, too. A fair pairing for two parties who love DEATH so much. Right now, Spin has a stream of the album’s first single, “You Are The One.” Go over there real quick if you’re interested in hearing it, but you’ll probably also have to hear about how Theophilus London makes music without borders or limits or rules or something, so we’ve embedded it here too:
The group will soon spread their death all across the land, mainly by going on tour. This is assuming that the land is Europe. Some say Europe is the deadliest land of them all. Nobody says that.
