PS I Love You hearken back to a simpler time. A time when men were men and bearded indie rock dudes were bearded indie rock dudes. Last year, the Kingston, Ontario-based duo tried to travel back to 1994 through their debut Meet Me at the Muster Station. It didn’t work, but it was a pretty good record nonetheless. The duo continue undeterred in their quest for musical time travel, this time around with a collection of previously released EPs and singles called Figure It Out.
This collection will be coming out on August 30 through Paper Bag Records. While the record reaches back into PS I Love You’s pre-Muster Station releases, it will also feature more recent material like “Leftovers,” their collaborative single with best buddy Diamond Rings. Also, there will be Madonna and Rush covers!
Once fall hits (the most indie rock of all the seasons), the band will be embarking on a pretty enormous North American tour. If their bearded predecessors could do two-month long treks, so can they. Once they return to their homebase in Kingston, the duo plan to finish their sophomore LP. Tentatively, that record is set for a 1996 release.
