ScHoolboy Q announces Blank Face, reveals culturally relevant artwork

Here come dat ScHoolboy Q, back at it again at Krispy Kreme on Top Dawg Entertainment with Blank Face, his new album, due out July 8. O shit waddup!

There is no tracklisting yet, but being that their videos prominently feature guys with blank faces, it is probably safe to assume that the singles “Groovy Tony” and “THat Part” (the latter of which features Kanye West) will make an appearance. ScHoolboy Q did reveal the album’s artwork however, and it sports the most recognizable face in the world right now, blank or otherwise, Crying Jordan.

This is a stroke of genius. Not only does ScHoolboy Q capitalize on the popularity of a meme that appears to have achieved immortality, he in turn gives Crying Jordan greater exposure to the masses, thereby further increasing the vitality of Crying Jordan. Wow, ScHoolboy Q is basically the world’s first meme venture capitalist. Also, in the event that Blank Face is poorly received, ScHoolboy Q has already gotten ahead of the game, doing the internet the favor of Crying Jordan-ing the album for them.
