Scottish producer Lachrin to release Críoch EP on Friday, premieres full stream

How does all this noise feel to you? All these compositions? These strings, these haunting, decaying drones? You listen, you discern, you are moved, you move on, and it passes. It’s all rather ephemeral, no?

Here we have Scottish producer Lachrin’s first release via Mexico City label Infinite Machine, a follow up to his Imní EP which came out in March. This new EP — what is it really about? Or does that question even matter anymore? I don’t think it does. Or at least I hope it doesn’t. In fact, I try to be against interpretation as much as possible. Doing so is all the rage these days, as you already know. “Content is the glimpse of something,” so they say.

As you listen, please, please remember to pay attention to the form. Strings, soundscapes, heavy bass, a real slow-burning cesspool of emotion. “Classical” you could call it, but again—what do you feel? Why are you here?

The full Críoch EP drops October 25, which is this Friday. Pre-order it here before it drops in its entirety. And remember to catch a glimpse of something.
