Back in 2016, NYC-based artist serpentwithfeet broke out of the underground queer music scene and slithered into our hearts with the release of his debut EP blisters, which ranked among our favorite releases of 2016. How could we (or anyone) resist his powerfully theatrical voice belting dramatically on top of those squiggling beds of left-field electronica?
Now, barely two months into 2017, two new pieces of good news are already flowing from the presumably forked tongue of serpentwithfeet: First, Tri Angle will be releasing blisters on vinyl, and you’ll be able to hold a slab of the deep-cut album in your own two hands (or feet) with alternative artwork on May 19. Second, he’ll be heading out on a pretty sizable tour with Perfume Genius later this spring, with a few solo headlining gigs and select European dates lined up before then.
