Soundtrack composer Steve Moore teams up with harpist Mary Lattimore for forthcoming album on Temporary Residence
Mary Lattimorrrrr...I mean: Steve Moore.

You might know Steve Moore from his soundtrack work on horror films, or perhaps from his rad synth-driven band Zombi. If not, be prepared for a treat. On May 10, Moore will release an album with none other than harpist Mary Lattimore (as well as Tunisian singer-songwriter Emel Mathlouthi and percussionist Jeff Gretz), comprising five tracks dubbed Beloved Exile.

The mysterious title somewhat obscures the utter beauty that waits inside. The lush ambient atmospherics are the main attraction, but sometimes Lattimore’s twinkling harp peeks out from underneath to provide a touch of something more organic. Beautiful stuff. Listen to the first cut, “Your Sentries will be Met with Force,” below:

02. In the Shelter of the Dunes
