Studio walk off into the sunset, taking Information Records with them

At one point in our collective history, Swedish balearic dance act Studio existed. Analysis suggests that this time period was roughly from 2001 to last month, because FACT rather strongly suggests that they broke up last month. Before deciding not to exist, Studio technically put out a sole full-length in the form of 2006’s West Coast. The reason I say “technically” is not because I’m a huge weirdo nerd, but because they also put out 2007’s Yearbook 1 and 2008’s Yearbook 2, a pair of full-length collections of their material. The former collected West Coast and a 12-inch single, while the latter collected a bunch of their remixes. Either I’m dumb or Studio’s output was a little confusing.

Like the villain in an action movie with a lot of guns and explosions, Studio aren’t going down alone. Where they’re the villain, Information Records is our hero’s romantic interest/son/army buddy. But Information Records was the label that Studio themselves ran with Daniel Nordh, who lives in London, that put out Studio’s output, along with music by The Crêpes, Fontän, Frak and Studio member Dan Lissvik’s solo music. So, in this movie, I guess Studio was in love with Information Records also, or they were in that terrible war with them or something? My analogy has gotten annoyingly twisty.
