Dominick Fernow and Low Jack reunite on surprise Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement 7-inch for Les disques de la Bretagne

Maybe you’re already familiar with the high-demand underground society of expensive and rare spooky dancehall records, maybe you’re a normal, approachable person! Either way get a load of this: Dominick Fernow (a.k.a. Prurient and Hospital Productions boss) has just released a surprise new Rainbow Spiritual Enslavement 7-inch predictably titled Venus Flytrap Exotica.

Working with the underground riddims extraordinaire, Low Jack, this gift is the latest part of the highly-grabable Les disques de la Bretagne series, a project of the Editions Gravats label that collects the most underhanded dancehall from around the world (with the likes of Equinoxx, Clara!, and more).

Venus Flytrap Exotica, the first Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement release outside of Fernow’s Hospital Productions, carries on in the collaborative spirit of last year’s Red Ants Genesis, which also included contributions from Low Jack and Equinoxx in its all-live shadowfest. But this vibe is way different. This 2-track EP brings a dose of what’s described as “lights-out dancehall voodoo,” a perfect soundtrack to tropical sleep paralysis.

This rare, 300-copies-only EP can be bought RIGHT NOW over at Bookmat. No, you can’t buy it as a tape. Yes, I know that’s very upsetting. No, I’m not gonna record it to tape for you with this old broken tape deck. (God, what is it with you folks?)
