Wand announce Plum, share video for "Bee Karma," force TMT to reckon with its long-standing ban on bees

Normally, we here at Tiny Mix Tapes don’t allow you have beads in here. Sorry, wait, no: Normally we here at Tiny Mix Tapes don’t allow you to have bees in here. But, seeing as how the L.A.-based psych band Wand just released the video for “Bee Karma,” off of their upcoming new album Plum…well, now seems as good a time as any to try and ease those longstanding tensions between us and our pollinating brothers and sisters.

“Bee Karma” is the second video Wand has released ahead of the forthcoming Plum (the first being for the album’s title track.) The video features an inside look into the life of a good clown. He dances. He falls down. He gets driven around town while laughing hysterically. He wears suspenders that hold up his comically wide-waisted pants. Meanwhile, the song itself is adventurous yet catchy, punctuated by some flourishing guitar riffs that really sting. Ha! Bazinga! No, wait: BaSTINGza!!! Excuse me ladies and gentlemen, I need to go fill out an application to be a writer on Young Sheldon

While I’m gone, go ahead and check out the video for “Bee Karma” – what the heck, I’ll throw in the video for “Plum” too! – down below. Also, be aware that Wand will be heading out on a North American tour next month, playing their biggest venues yet, and they’ve even got some U.K. shows sprinkled in for early 2018 too! You can check out all of those dates down below as well.

Meanwhile, Plum is out September 22 via Drag City and can be pre-ordered in all of your favorite formats here. And of course, last but certainly not least: a big, fuzzy, buzzy, honeyed “thank you” to Wand for helping Tiny Mix Tapes bridge what once seemed an un-manageable gap between us and our old friends, bees everywhere.
