Weyes Blood to release new album on Sub Pop, shares video and international tour dates
Album cover photo credit: Brett Stanley

Weyes Blood has a new album on the way and it’s got cool-ass cover art. (!!!)

That’s right, Titanic Rising is out April 5 on Sub Pop, a new label for Natalie Mering’s psychedelic sorta-folk project.

And that cover photo (which, who am I kidding, you almost definitely haven’t stopped gawking at yet — you’re probably not even reading these words purple monkey dishwasher— but just in case you are reading them…) is, to answer your no-doubt scalding question, au naturale; that is, it’s got no digital tomfoolery going on, no CGI. It is a photo of Natalie Mering in a real, actual submerged bedroom. HOW’D THEY DO THAT?!? I DON’T KNOW!! The album cover is on some Fitzcarraldo shit.

In addition to the news of her Front Row Seat to Earth follow-up’s impending release, Weyes Blood has also shared a video for its first single, “Everyday” and announced a very large number of tour dates in California, Europe and North America. (The press release chose to separate the California dates from the “North America” dates, and who are we to question that?)

Watch the video for “Everyday” below, and below that, read Titanic Rising’s track titles, and below that, check out Weyes Blood’s upcoming tour dates. AND BELOW THAT…entertain *yourselves* for a change, damnit.
