Damn, do these rock and roll guys know how to market themselves or what?

Because nothing says WARM quite like NOVEMBER IN CHICAGO, Jeff Tweedy — affectionately known as “the low-stakes Neil Young of the Midwest” — is seizing on the meteorological opportunity and has just announced that his newest solo album (entitled WARM) will be released on November 30 via the Wilco-helmed dBpm label.

It was recorded and produced — as usual, with a little help from his friends/family Spencer Tweedy, Glenn Kotche and Tom Schick — “entirely by Jeff at Chicago’s now legendary studio, The Loft,” and features liner notes written by no one less-fancy than The New Yorker’s George Saunders (read them in full here). Additionally, I’m guessing lots and lots of vintage-y, analog equipment and instruments were used on the album, so it probably sounds a whole lot like Tweedy LOOKS these days: really cozy and comfy and wool-y and “warm.”

But don’t take my unhelpfully speculative word for it! Just feast your earballs on the newly released video for the album’s first single “Some Birds” down below. Directed by Seth Henrikson, it features Tweedy getting nice little haircut and playing one of those double-guitar things that were so impressive to Otto man.

Pre-order WARM here and check out the art and full tracklist — as well as some upcoming Tweedy solo dates (most of which are rather unhelpfully but sorta impressively SOLD OUT as fuck) — after the clip!

Okay, roll the clip, Jeff!
