Xeno & Oaklander share title track from new Ghostly album Par Avion, along with perfume, bags, and sweatshirts

Look out, Beyoncé. Xeno & Oaklander now have their own perfume. For real. Liz Wendelbo, half of the New York-based darkwave/synth duo with Sean McBride, has teamed up with fashion designer Tess Giberson for a “*remixed* take on ‘ready-mades’ and exclusive merchandise,” to be released in conjunction with the group’s new single, “Par Avion,” which you can listen to below. The Crosby/Wendelbo collab hath yielded limited-edition t-shirts, sweatshirts, and bags, all featuring X&O artwork.

“Par Avion” was recorded in Wendelbo and McBride’s all-analog Brooklyn studio, and “alludes to postcards sent by airmail from exotic places — shimmering moments from the present, romantic messages from the past, love mementos for the future.” Apparently Xeno & Oaklander’s friends don’t exclusively send them postcards with cats riding books, jackalopes, and “Wish You Were Her” 80s bikini babe Miami postcards. Ahhh the romance of the post! The track is a taste of what fans can expect when the duo release their first full-length for Ghostly International sometime in 2014.
