Two years after GOT LOST, Malibu’s dj lostboi alias returns with a new compilation of amorphous edits, although, that may be too strict of a term for this composite blur.
Where as GOT LOST was made with respect Deadmau5 and Kaskade, Swedish House Mafia, Lil Uzi Vert, and DJ Sammy among others, and featured crisp, sweet tracks like autumnal apples bit into under the falling leaves, this latest collection pays homage to the likes of T.A.T.U., Jon Hopkins and perhaps most excitingly the Choir of Salisbury Cathedral like foam, as of whipped egg whites, agitated aquafaba, mousse, whatever else hits your tongue and instantly dissolves.
Source structures take more of a sleepy seat to trancey instrumentals and zones totally awash in roiling storms. Silent lightning strikes and sheets of rain flapping through the desert. A grey, electric sky flickering over somewhere like White Sands. I’m not afraid. Where lostboi leads I would follow.
