♫♪  LIZ - “Queen Of Me / Could U Love Me”

When LIZ rules the world, her 2014 EP Just Like You will count as one of the great canonical works of digital bubblegum R&B. Seriously though: before the Tarzana, California singer hooked up with the PC Music crowd for her SOPHIE-produced banger, she had gifted the world a close-to-perfect homage to the bright shining stars of yesteryear, a.k.a. the late nineties. A homage you can still stream in its entirety (or download for free) through Mad Decent’s Soundcloud. Now, not much has changed in LIZ’s world since, except for becoming fully independent; on her just-released pair of complementary peppy/melancholy songs, “Queen of Me” and “Could You Love Me” (produced by Wave Racer and ARNOLD & Hoodboi respectively), she once again entertains the hypothetical of what Xtina’s greatest hits would sound like with the input of a time-traveling K-pop producer.
