♫♪  John Bellows - “No Memory”

World music is a resounding genre to consider one piece of music or another. Whether it be from the southern or norther hemisphere, atop mountain peaks, along desert-end sea shorts, or tall feels of corn to the ghettos of Brazil, festivals of Europe, or apartments of Turkey, World music is technically anywhere you travel and here expression in the form of song. And while I hold the theory that song exists because of rhythm and then follow melody, I can hear how John Bellows wears this formula like they’re both the sleeves he adorns in his music making process. Within his lyrical inclination and vocal/instrumental twists and turns, “No Memory” presents Bellows’ ability to blend both beat and refrain that rings out resoundingly in his newest EP l o n g, which will be out Friday on Planted Tapes (which is run by TMTer, Strauss).
