Laurel Halo and Ital tour together, are difficult to understand

Looking to check out the latest in awkward dance moves? Well, if you live in the Northeast or the more hip portions of the Midwest, then you’ll want to check out the upcoming Ital/Laurel Halo tour. Kicking off in Brooklyn next month, the it-boy and -girl of the outsider house scene will traverse the shores of the Great Lakes through early October, bringing tidings of modulated vocals and broken beats to all who attend! It’s a late-summer miracle!

Ital’s Daniel Martin-McCormick will be playing tracks from his Planet Mu debut, Hive Mind (TMT Review), while Halo will hopefully cover lots of the Eureka!-worthy territory found on her Hyperdub release Quarantine (TMT Review) from earlier this year. As a bonus, show up early to check out sets from Damon Palermo’s Magic Touch project (also a co-member of Martin-McCormick’s group Mi Ami) and likeminded artist M. Geddes Gengras. The crowd that turns out for rave music on quaaludes should be a glorious thing to behold.
