Aaron David Ross (ADR) announces audiovisual release Deceptionista; PAN preps coinciding new website

Nobody predicted the death of this occasionally annoying social media platform, because Aaron David Ross (ADR) is here to turn vines into the partial basis for solo artistic marvel! Deceptionista is the just-announced audiovisual release from the otherwise Gatekeeper member, and accompanying a PAN site revision spearheaded by visionary artist and programmer Harm van den Dorpel, the release is a digital or SD card offering that uses the Vpeeker service to display uncensored vines through a real-time feed surrounded by “various geometries and particle systems.” It’s like a “playable video game-like environment,” they say, and if Ross has chosen to be musically reminiscent of his prior Chunky Monkey, one might expect a symbiosis that beats the one between ice cream and taste buds.

December 11 is the day of the release and of the aforementioned website revamp. On the latter front, Harm van den Dorpel is using an online platform called “Deli Near” to turn the PAN website into a space conducive to online artist collaborations. And hopefully PAN head Bill Kouligas plans on keeping things booming for the foreseeable future, because the new site is supposedly all about supporting programmatic growth and experimentation.

ADR will debut Deceptionista at 3HD Festival in Berlin this Friday, December 4. An “onslaught of video clips” never sounded so non-torturous.
