In an obvious effort to keep the increasingly irrelevant and pathetic Twin Peaks references alive and kicking here at TMT Headquarters, Amen Dunes-Dude Damon McMahon has just unveiled a new video for his (still-forthcoming) new album’s latest single, “Blue Rose.”
The new clip — directed by Alex Goldberg, filmed in Queens, NY, and featuring a “depiction of [McMahon’s] younger self propelled by smoke and fantasy into a dream world of friends and escapism” — follows SUSPICIOUSLY closely on the heels of last month’s initial announcement and first single “Dora.”
Hmmmm. Could that be because, even though we all already know that Freedom is out March 30 on Sacred Bones — and despite the fact that TMT’s readership is (somehow) growing increasingly sick* of hearing us joke around about Twin Peaks bullshit — McMahon now also has a pretty giant new spring tour with Fleet Foxes to start promoting???
