It’s been said that all the world’s a stage, but why appropriate an entire planet for the purposes of individualist expression when you can reduce your footprint and spend your time at a baller-ass (and reasonably scaled) stage like The Shed’s Griffin Theater in NYC?? I assume this comprises at least a substantial portion of the logic Arca applied when conceiving the idea for Mutant;Faith, a four-night performance series at The Shed spanning from September 25–28. At least, I certainly hope so…
Mutant;Faith includes three unique performances and an epilogue executed across consecutive days, all of which can be experienced separately or as fragments of the complete cycle. They are named as follows: “Gestation,” “Aftercare,” “Ripples,” and “Boundary.”
The main performances feature a convergence of visual design, music, and technology, while the epilogue “offers a rare look into her creative process as the audience is invited to observe the artist both in and out of character as she performs for the camera during a live shoot for a yet-to-be released project.”
Tickets for this presumably-once-in-a-lifetime event are on sale NOW for Shed members here; public on-sale starts this Friday, August 23 at 10 AM EST. Grab those passes while they’re still gestating!
