Beach House to release new album, 7, in May, share new single and tour dates

Self-styled dream poppers Beach House have announced their new album, mysteriously and minimally called 7 (I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that it’s their 7th album), along with a new track called “Dive.” It sounds like…well, of course it sounds exactly like Beach House. What were you expecting!? (As with their previous single “Lemon Glow,” the new clip betrays the duo’s newly discovered love of op-art visuals.)

7 was recorded across five smaller sessions over 11 months, as opposed to one pesky, giant, single recording session (those things are the worst!). The results come out May 11, and pre-orders from Sub Pop’s store come with limited edition yellow vinyl as well as a t-shirt option to show off your true fandom to the brunch crew. Or wear it while you’re singing along with Victoria at one of the shows during the upcoming six-month worldwide tour (hint: note the Mexico City album release show in May!)
