The mighty Black Mountain have returned. From the depths of a crystalline ice cave, they have emerged, flanked by fierce wolves, hammer trolls (a troll with a hammer), vaguely metal descriptive tropes, and a new album IV, which comes out April 1 via Jagjaguwar. The band’s latest finds members Stephen McBean, Jeremy Schmidt, Amber Webber, and Joshua Wells, plus special guest bassist Arjan Miranda (ex- S.T.R.E.E.T.S, Children, and The Family Band) in studio with producer Randall Dunn (Wolves In The Throne Room, Sunn O))), Marissa Nadler) at Avast! in Seattle.
The band is embarking on a massive European/American/Canadian tour in support of this album, kicking off in March. And if you like Instagram and you like album teasers, Black Mountain made some for all y’all.
