Now that they’re both officially old enough to be considered adults in the US, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence have announced a formal fall tour to support their just-released debut album on Cherrytree/Interscope, Settle. The locations of the shows are a bit odd as an assembled group, so it’s possible they were only booked in cities where younger brother Howard could get in? Or maybe they just have a shitty booker who could only get them slots in the country’s illustrious Knitting Factory Outlets and Blues Houses scattered across America’s great secondary cities? Seriously, where’s New York, Chicago, Denver, L.A., Miami?
Well, no one ever tours in Miami because the way Florida is shaped makes it a bitch to get anywhere else once you’ve descended into its phallic shaft, but it appears that recent and upcoming festival appearances in some of the larger metropolitan areas of the US are more likely the reason you won’t be able to get your dance on to Disclosure’s pop-infused garage beats as the leaves are turning and/or you’re planning or putting off your Halloween costume if you live in New York, Chicago, Denver, or L.A. But you’re probably already going to HARD L.A., Red Rocks, Lollapalooza, or Central Park Summerstage, so no worries.
